HOW TO FACE A BAD PATCH II

In order to finish with the topic started in the previous entry of this blog regarding how to face a bad poker patch, is needed to make reference to one last recommendation: decrease your game level.

Contrary to what many players can think or do, one of the biggest mistakes that can be made when trying to finish with a bad patch is trying to go one level up in order to obtain bigger pots that can made up for the accumulated losses. That makes no sense!

In fact, what the players should be doing is going down one or two levels in order to risk less money and trying to increase their bankroll accumulating little pots.

However, as we had already mentioned yesterday, sometimes the best thing to finish with a bad patch is taking some time away from the poker tables in order to start thinking again clear.

HOW TO FACE A BAD PATCH

Having a bad patch is one of the biggest worries poker players have, and it is quite common that they have to face a few of them during all their poker careers.

Having a bad patch have different meaning for different players, and while some poker players may consider to be going through a bad time after having lost a few poker hands, other players will not even start to think about this possibility until they have been losing for weeks.

In any case, if a player want to be sure if he is going through a bad stage or not, he should look back and count the percentage of winnings and loses accumulated during a determined period. The data will speak by itself.

If the data shows negative results it is advisable to look back and analyze their last games, to try to identify which aspects may be causing troubles and if there is a way to fix them.

Sometimes it is also convenient having a break from the game tables at both online poker rooms and land based casinos, to be able to analyze the situation in a more clear way and see things with a better perspective.
